Align your mind with ur Soul Shine
Every meditation I do starts with the three step prep. It sounds like
a dance and once you get used to it, it flows smoothly like an energetic routine.
It is a great basic foundation for all other meditative states. Once you've trained yourself, it can be done very quickly.
After setting up protection, you want to prepare your body and mind by using this simple three step prep: centering, grounding and aligning.
To center yourself, you want to eliminate all distracting thoughts from your mind. Forget about everything else going on in your life for a time. A mind-clearing exercise can help you do that. Bring all your attention and focus onto this one thing - the first step...
Gather your energies into yourself using focused breath and visualization. Breathe in deeply and slowly through the nose, filling your lungs to capacity by pushing out your abdomen while inhaling. On this breath, visualize yourself inhaling a pure white energy that fills every cell of your body, healing and relaxing it.
Use affirmations to reinforce this energetic action, i.e., "I am filled with the healing breath of Creator, which penetrates every cell in my body, purifying and restoring health and vitality."
Hold for a count of 4-8, whichever you can. Then exhale slowly through the mouth, visualizing every cell in your body relaxing. FEEL the tension melt away.
Deliberately relax your facial muscles and any others that feel tense or tight.
Use an appropriate affirmation at the same time, i.e., "I now release all tension and worry from my life to be neutralized and transformed, I am free."
Repeat this exercise until you feel relaxed and receptive. The goal is to clear your mind, relax your body and be fully present in the moment.
Visualize yourself inside a ball or egg of light. This is your auric field, your personal energy that surrounds you always. See it as pure white and whole. It is your protective shield, your personal space, your domain.
Reinforce with affirmations, i.e., "My aura is healed and sealed, nothing can penetrate it" or, "only those that come in the white light of love and truth may approach me".
When you are consciously centered and not thinking about what's for dinner and other background thoughts, proceed to ground yourself.
This part of the three step prep is to stabilize the body and secure it's energies within the Earth field. You're planting your flag and saying, 'this is my home base to which I will return my conscious awareness to.' It's great to go on trips, but you always want to return to the comforts of "home".
Visualize a beam of energy from your central core penetrating the Earth. It moves through the soil and rock and into the Earth's central core, anchoring your energetic essence to the heart of the Earth Mother.
You can also visualize your energy emerging from your feet while your feet are on the floor or ground.
She holds you in Her loving embrace, soothing and protecting you. You are secure, you are grounded, you are physically and energetically sustained within the Earth field. You are safe. Use affirmations to assert this action.
In this step, you are connecting your conscious awareness to your superconscious (see Levels of Mind) mind or higher self and to the realm of spirit. You are building a bridge. This connection is always there.
By aligning, you are adjusting your conscious vibratory frequency/rate to vibrate "in line with" higher mind. You are essentially merging with spiritual awareness. You are opening the door.
Visualize an energy beam rising from the top of your head (crown chakra) and merging with your higher self. You can imagine your higher self as a being, a star, a ball of light, a figure of light or an angelic being. Whatever feels right to you. The important thing is to FEEL the connection. Some say we connect to our higher self through the "Soul Star" energy center (6-8" above the head).
Make your affirmation, i. e., "I am in the realm of spirit, I can see with the eyes of higher mind, I can hear with the ears of higher mind." &/or, "My spirit and I are One, communication between us is open and clear." You are now in the realm of higher mind and ready to proceed from the three step prep to meditative journeying.
Open yourself to receive. Be aware, listen, feel, what do you see and hear? Ask questions and allow response. Do not engage in mental chatter. The key is to be receptive. Affirm, "I am centered, I am grounded, I am one with higher mind, I receive only truth."
Don't get discouraged, practice makes perfect. The more you use the three step prep process, the easier and smoother it becomes. Soon it will be effortless and automatic. Once mastered, potentials are unlimited.
- Don't concentrate when meditating. FOCUS, but let your mind rest easy and observe, let it f-l-o-w.
- If distracting thoughts come in, send them back out in the form of a little bird.
- The more centered you are, the less distracted you'll be by outside phenomena.
